March 8, International Women’s Day, is right around the corner and will be full of empowering conversations and activities. After Ford’s global celebration of International Women’s Day hosted by Women of Ford, the diversity, equity and inclusion office is sponsoring a virtual event for your entire family.
Ford is a partner to Girls with Impact and its International Women’s Day Concert, which starts at 6 p.m. EST on Monday. There’s a connection to the Ford family as well; featured performer Renee Elise Goldsberry of “Hamilton” is the daughter of former Ford vice president Ron Goldsberry, a founder of the Ford Employees African-Ancestry Network.
This event will help equip 1 million under-resourced girls with the tools to become tomorrow’s business leaders and visionaries. The investment is Ford’s way of prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion actions that aim to have a long-term impact outside of the company, and creating policies that support and elevate women.
As a Ford employee, your ticket donation of $25 includes VIP access to the post-event question-and-answer session with Renee Elise Goldsberry.
