COLOGNE – After it created a buzz on social media, the #VeryGayRaptor is now becoming a reality, and will make a statement for diversity at Cologne Pride this weekend.
The #VeryGayRaptor was initially created digitally, when after the presentation of the new Ford Ranger Raptor on social media, someone described the blue livery as "very gay". Ford responded with an animation of the vehicle in gold and rainbow colors, making the company's position on discriminatory language more than clear.
Ford is now taking it one step further and putting a real #VeryGayRaptor foiled in gold and rainbow colours on the road. As of today, the vehicle will be driving around the city of Cologne for three days and will be available to take photos before making its big appearance on the Cologne Pride Parade on Sunday.
If you are in Cologne these days, you should definitely look out for the #VeryGayRaptor and if you see it, post a selfie or photo on the BlueOvalNow app using the #FordEmployeesEurope channel.
