Jennifer Kolstad, Design & Brand Director, Ford Land, has been named to the Crain’s Detroit Notable Women in Construction, Design & Architecture for 2022.
Jennifer is an inaugural honoree for this award, which honors those Michigan women who lead in site selection, project management, design, build, landscaping, administration and more at architectural, general contracting and subcontractor firms.
Leaders who are recognized must be making a measurable impact in their industry as well as be involved in philanthropic activities, mentoring programs or diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
“Crain’s Notable Women in Construction, Architecture and Design were selected for their track record of success, contributions to the field and commitment to lifting up other women in the field,” said Ame Elliott Bragg, Crain’s Special Projects Editor." Our judges were impressed that Jen is among the first women to attain a design leadership role at Ford Land, and by her leadership on many major design projects that will have an impact on the wider community.”
Jennifer’s role is the first of its kind in Ford’s history; designed to prioritize the human experience, the branded environment and design excellence, across the entire organization. Since joining Ford Land three years ago, Jennifer has applied her deep commercial design expertise to revolutionizing Ford’s workplace design principles and imagining the workplace of the future at a global scale.
As Ford transforms its Southeast Michigan campus and facilities globally, Jennifer and her team are driving the vision for how design can support the future of Ford+ and a renewed focus on culture, innovation and collaboration.
