There is no better way to move such a heavy load than an E-Transit. Its Built Ford Tough capacity delivered all the food with zero tailpipe emissions. As part of the Ford Mexico efforts to help furry buddies and celebrate National Dog's Day, the #PetFord campaign returned for a second year. Through Ford of Mexico's social networks, more than 11 tons of food were collected and delivered for thousands of pups waiting to be adopted. Posts included a special catalog with photos of dogs that are sheltered in more than 13 foundations in Mexico City. For every thousand reactions to the post made on Ford Mexico's Facebook page, 10 packages of food would be donated. In all, more than 400,000 reactions translated into 5.8 tons of food, which was doubled thanks to the contribution of a pet food brand, bringing the total to 11.6 tons of food donated.
The harmony and union within the Ford of Mexico team are portrayed by these actions that help those who cannot speak for themselves, and also the internet users who proved that together we can make a difference. While these puppies, dogs, and even some cats wait for homes, they will be ensured full bellies thanks to the help of the Ford Mexico team.
