Ford, the Ford Fund and Team Rubicon are activating to support Hawaii, where quick-spreading wildfires on Maui have resulted in massive evacuations, complete property loss, blocked access to power and vital resources, and 93 confirmed casualties. Our hearts are with everyone around the world who has been impacted by this tragedy.

We can take action now to support the Maui community as they begin to heal, recover and rebuild.

Team Rubicon is on the ground now with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to determine how best to support people in Hawaii.

The veteran-led humanitarian organization is asking our Ford community to support the people of Hawaii in two critical ways right now:

1.       Donate.

Donate to Team Rubicon’s Ready Reserve Fund to ensure Team Rubicon can deploy as quickly as possible.

Disasters and humanitarian crises are devastating people with increased frequency, intensity, and cost. A donation to Team Rubicon will be focused in three critical areas: Response, Recovery, and Resilience.

By giving to the Ready Reserve Fund, your investment ensures vulnerable households in Hawaii will receive the services they need.

2.       Volunteer.

-     Sign up to volunteer by becoming a Team Rubicon "Greyshirt"

-    Do the online training so you’re prepared and ready to help in Hawaii's recovery or to support your own community

-    The focus of Team Rubicon’s mission in Hawaii will be on long-term recovery once active firefighting is completed by professionals

-    Team Rubicon will share when the mission to volunteer for Hawaii is established

About Team Rubicon Powered by Ford

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led disaster response organization that has been a vital Ford Fund partner in serving communities during these crises. Team Rubicon Powered by Ford, our expanded disaster relief initiative, mobilizes Greyshirt volunteers in Ford vehicles, deploying them to disaster zones around the world. Founded by two Marines during the Haiti earthquake in 2010, Team Rubicon began its mission serving populations who were being overlooked and underserved by traditional aid organizations. Drawing upon their medical and leadership expertise developed through years of military service, Team Rubicon provided aid to thousands of survivors of the Haiti earthquake. Since then, the organization has continued to grow and has made an enormous impact in supporting underserved communities.
