This resets the previous record set by the Super Cobra Jet 1400, which was a time of 8.128 seconds at 171.97 miles per hour, set back in 2021 by Bob Tasca. -
Pat McCue of MLe Racecars piloted the Super Cobra Jet to the record-setting pass. -
Chris Buescher led Ford with an eighth-place finish in the first road course race of the NASCAR Cup Series season at Circuit of the Americas in Texas. -
