Ford China, in collaboration with Ford Beyond, recently donated two Ford Rangers each to the Xiamen Dawn Rescue Team and the Shanghai Blue Sky Emergency Rescue Service Center, also known as the Dawn Rescue Team and the Blue Sky Rescue Team, respectively. This donation aims to support their frontline disaster relief efforts for public safety and welfare, aligning with Ford’s vision to help build a better world. In addition, with this initiative, the National Dawn Rescue Alliance Ford Ranger Fleet was officially established.

In these rescue situations, their members often encounter damaged roads, rugged and sharp stones or dangerously slippery mountain paths, waist-deep flood waters, and other extreme environments. Moreover, it’s not just the professional rescue personnel who need to rush to the front lines, but also their rescue equipment and supplies: ropes, digging tools, generators, assault boats, water, food, etc. This poses stringent demands for a suitable rescue vehicle that has excellent maneuverability, off-road capability, reliability, and safety. Furthermore, the need to transport rescue equipment and disaster relief materials is a further test of the vehicle's carrying capacity.

Ford pickup owners have played a significant role in past rescue missions, actively joining the ranks of volunteers and offering their trucks for disaster relief without any request for compensation. The excellent off-road, loading, towing, and water fording capabilities of Ford pickups have proven time and again that they are the most reliable vehicles for wilderness disaster relief and rescue.

Upon learning about the actual needs of the rescue teams and touched by their dedication to safeguarding lives – to the extent that some members have sold their own houses to raise funds for rescue equipment and maintaining rescue team operations – Ford donated the iconic Ford Ranger to these two public welfare rescue organizations. Hopefully, the strengths of these pickup trucks can be truly maximized in future rescue situations.

The Ranger is built on Ford's latest and most advanced third-generation mid-size pickup platform, and has undergone rigorous and comprehensive durability cycle testing. This includes various scenarios such as passing gravel road tests, water fording tests, and endurance tests across various tough environments such as sand, dust, and extreme dry conditions. It is the first pickup to receive a five-star safety rating from C-NCAP and is also the first pickup to achieve five-star safety ratings in China, Europe, and Australia.
