Amko Leenarts, Director, Design, said: “Celebrating our past while reinventing our future. A car that only Ford could build. The legend is back. Inside, I think this is exactly how an original Capri driver would have expected the future to feel.”
The ultimate car for a getaway, Capri has up to 572 litres of boot space, a foldable boot floor, a 17-litre MegaConsole beneath the front armrest and secret, secure storage in My Private Locker.
It also comes equipped with 12 ultrasonic sensors, five cameras and three radars to support advanced driver assistance technologies including Assisted Lane Change and Clear Exit Warning.
Range anxiety won’t be an issue either as Capri extended range RWD can drive more than 620 km on a single charge, while 10-80 per cent charging takes approximately 26 minutes using a 185 kW DC fast charger for Capri extended range AWD. And, with up to 340 PS, 0-100 km/h acceleration is accomplished in as little as 5.3 seconds.
“The sleek and soulful body is great for aerodynamics,” said Ulrich Koesters, Director, Electric Vehicles. “That helps drive up to 627 km on a single charge.”
Available to order now, prices for Capri start at €44.950/ £42,075 (Germany/UK) with the standard range battery that becomes available to order later this year. On the Extended Range RWD, prices start from €51.950 / £48.075.
Capri is the second all-electric Ford to be produced at the Cologne Electric Vehicle Center and will be manufactured alongside the all-new Explorer.
