On Sept. 10, Changan Ford's Hangzhou Plant celebrated an important milestone with the roll-out of its 900,000th vehicle. The event was attended by Luo Song, the Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager; Julie Chu, the Plant Manager; Ou Yun, the Quality Director, along with other team leaders who gathered to witness this exciting moment.
Luo Song delivered a speech in which he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all of the plant’s employees for their hard work. Since 2024, the Hangzhou Plant has been actively improving quality and efficiency, with hourly production output continuously rising and meeting the designed rate of 50 units, as well as achieving the lowest manufacturing cost per vehicle in history.
From Jan. to Aug. 2024, production increased by 58% year-on-year, with an average monthly output of nearly 10,000 units. These achievements would not have been possible without the strong collective efforts put in by the entire team. Luo Song also stated that, moving forward, he hopes that all of the plant’s employees will continue to strive for high quality, high efficiency, and low cost, accelerating their next milestone towards one million vehicles and attaining even more remarkable results.
Since its establishment, the Hangzhou Plant has continuously introduced advanced production technologies and high-quality management experience. Through ongoing optimization and upgrades, the production line has also achieved a high level of automation and intelligence, ensuring that every vehicle that rolls off the line delivers superior quality and performance. The roll-out of the 900,000th vehicle is not only a highly rewarding moment reflecting the hard work of all the employees, but also serves as strong motivation for accelerating future development. Looking ahead, the branch will embrace new challenges with further enthusiasm and confidence, delivering more high-quality products to consumers and contributing more to the growth of Changan Ford.
