Body: Ford ended 2025 with our best sales results since 2019, selling just over 2.2 million vehicles, up 6% year-over-year, and outpacing the industry for the 10th consecutive month, increasing our share to 13.2% for the year, up 0.6 percentage points.

Ford’s "Power of Choice" strategy deserves much of the credit. We were able to perform to a broader customer group with strong sales of our affordable Maverick, particularly with the XL trim series all the way up to high-end Super Duty and Lincoln’s Navigator. On powertrains, we exploited the holes in some of our major competitors’ lineups with record hybrid sales, including hybrid F-150 and Maverick.

Ford Hybrids Outpaced All GM, Stellantis Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrids, and EVs, Combined

If 2025 proved anything, it’s that our hybrid strategy is exactly what the market is demanding. Ford sold a record 228,072 hybrid vehicles this year — a big 21.7% increase. We capped the year off with a record-breaking Q4, moving 55,374 hybrids in just three months.

To put our hybrid dominance into perspective, Ford’s hybrid volume alone enabled us to outsell the combined electrified sales (EV, PHEV, and Hybrid) of both GM and Stellantis. While GM is still trying to find their footing in the "all-or-nothing" EV race, Ford is delivering the balanced portfolio that allows us to better meet what customers actually want.

The F-150 Hybrid remains the king of the full-size truck segment with a record 84,934 trucks sold (+15.0%), while the Maverick Hybrid continues its streak as America’s best-selling mid-size hybrid pickup with 81,034 sales. Simply put, our competitors currently have no answer for the success we are seeing in the hybrid pickup truck market.

SUVs — Particularly Explorer, Bronco, and Expedition Drove Growth

Ford brand SUVs had a strong year, totaling 222,706 SUVs for the Explorer alone, up 14.7%. Explorer remains America’s best-selling three-row SUV because it hits every note, from the affordable Active and ST-Line trims (+41.9%) to the luxury Platinum, which saw a 76.0% sales gain in Q4. We also introduced Explorer Tremor in Q4, which is well-received. While early, we have seen strong success with the Tremor trim series in other vehicle lines, like Expedition.

Then there is the Bronco. I’ve talked before about Bronco hitting new annual sales records prior to the year even being over, and the final numbers for 2025 totaled their best annual performance ever with

sales of 146,007 SUVs, an increase of 33.7%. Bronco also ended the year with a record 36,086 SUVs sold, a 12.0% increase over last year. When you look at the entire Bronco family, including Bronco Sport, we moved a record 280,500 SUVs this year. Bronco has never been as big as it is today, even when you go back to the ‘60s and ‘70s. We saw strong gains in base-level Broncos, as we looked to address customers who were looking for a more affordable entry point. We saw big success in the affordable entry models of Bronco and Bronco Big Bend trims, which more than doubled their sales for the year.
